Grilling with Pillsbury Classic Pizza Giveaway

Posted in Commercial Break

Have you ever tried grilling pizza? It has a completely different flavor and is perfect for those hot summer days where you don’t want to heat up the house by turning on the oven.  I’m thrilled to have our grill back from the movers as it opens up the summer meal possibilities. I was recently given the opportunity to be part of the Pillsbury Classic Pizza campaign, and I happily agreed as we love pizza. I have fond memories of using the classic Pillsbury pizza dough with my mom to make pizzas, so there was a bit of nostalgia involved…

Cheerios

What’s so exciting?

We enjoy shopping at our local Sam’s Club store because we’re able to get some great products in bulk sizes at affordable prices. I know not everyone likes buying in bulk because storing things can be an issue. Cheerios understands this concern, so they changed their club packaging. The new 2 box Cheerios contains two individual boxes, making them easier to store and easier to pour!

Cheerios 2 box pack

Other benefits include…

  • Reducing the amount of air in each individual bag which means that these enhanced containers fit 10% more cereal than before and use less packaging
  • Reducing packaging material by over 200,000 lbs, means saving 1,000 trees and taking 130 Cheerios trucks of the road, decreasing CO2 emissions

So, not only are you getting more bang for your buck with these new easier to store and pour packages, but you’re also being more environmentally friendly in the process.

These new and improved 2 box Cheerios are now available on the shelves of Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s nationwide.

Cheerios Prize Pack

Are you a big Cheerios fan? You can enter to win your own 2 box Cheerios prize pack (4 boxes total) and/or head over to your local club store to purchase. Rafflecopter giveaway is open to US residents and ends 5/30. Winner will be announced on this post.

Cheerios sendCheer

As you know, I’m extremely excited to be part of the Cheerios sendCheer campaign.  Here’s a very brief overview of the program:

  • This fall, specially-marked boxes of Cheerios cereal will feature Cheer postcards on the front of the box. Shoppers can simply cut out the postcard from the Cheerios logo, write a message of thanks on the back, add a stamp and mail the pre-addressed card to the USO. The USO will deliver the Cheer card to military families across the country.
  • For each postcard received through November 2012, Cheerios will make a $1 donation to the USO to help fund programs that support military families.
  • During the campaign kick off, Cheerios donated $150,000 to the USO, and they will continue to donate up to an additional $100,000 based upon the number of postcards received from specially marked boxes through November 30th, 2012.

To help you join the campaign and spread some cheer to our military families, I am able to give away one of the cool prize packs featured above.  You’ll receive a sendCheer box of Cheerios, a Cheerios bowl, a Cheerios spoon, and a very cool cereal dispenser.

GIVEAWAY – Open to US Residents Only – Ends 11/30

Pink Together Giveaway

Breast cancer awareness is near and dear to my heart as my mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor.  Cancer is a horrible disease which touches way too many lives.  I’m sure there are very few individuals who have not been touched in some way by cancer.  When I was asked if I’d like to help spread the word about the 2011 Pink Together campaign, I said yes.  Having lost my mother to ovarian cancer, I know the importance of spreading the word about regular check-ups as well as helping raise funds for cancer research.  Fighting cancer is not something you…

Sam’s Club Yoplait Snack Gift Card Giveaway

Around here, we go through a massive number of yogurt cups.  D and Munchkin love their yogurt.  As Munchkin has gotten older, she’s moved away from many of the yogurts geared towards kids (Trix) and moved on to more of the adult varieties.  While D really likes fruit-on-the-bottom type yogurt, he’s quite happy with his Yoplait yogurt.  Every time we head over to Sam’s Club, he gets a pack.  (He’d get more than one large pack if I would allow him to do so, but our fridge only has so much space.  Those Sam’s Club packs do take up a…
