Relaxing Camping Trip

Posted in Family

To make things relaxing and enjoyable for all, we kept things very simple this time out.  Even though we took out our trailer, I packed like we were heading out tent camping.  Our meals were very simple with very little prep work necessary.  D made his yummy eggs, bacon, and fried potatoes for breakfast.  For our other meals, we just hand sandwiches and grilled cheese with fruit and chips. Munchkin decided that she wanted to take her bicycle with us, so she had a blast riding her bike all over the place. Since we were out in the desert, she…

A Visit with Grandpa and Grandma

Posted in Family

On Friday afternoon, a van pulled up, and Grandpa and Grandma stepped out.  Munchkin was more than excited that Grandpa and Grandma were going to be staying with us for a bit.  They are traveling around seeing some of the family, and we were next up on their list of stops. We’ve been enjoying our time visiting.  Munchkin is having lots of fun playing board games and card games with Grandma.  Grandpa has been teaching her how to play of few games on his Ipad which Munchkin thinks is pretty cool. I need to get some pictures taken as I…

The trail to The Narrows is set up so you could take a wheelchair down it.  It wouldn’t be easy, in my opinion, but it would be possible.  The Virgin River passes by you on…

Zion: Weeping Rock

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

After getting off the shuttle bus, we took a nice hike up to Weeping Rock. At the top of the trail, you could stand under a mellow waterfall.  The spritzing droplets of water helped cool the air around us.  Some people were taking some of the wet, red clay and rubbing it on their skin. Munchkin liked looking out over the landscape below and snapping pictures while the water dripped unto the ledge. Munchkin and I took turns taking the following shots.  A couple of trees made this fun archway across the hiking trail. The final stop at our Zion…
