Web Design for Kids Review

Posted in Homeschooling, and Reviews

When I found out that we would have the opportunity to review Web Design for Kids (…And Curious Grown Ups!), I didn’t really know what to expect. Munchkin and I sat down with our laptops and popped the dvd into the dvd player. (For easiest use, you will want to have the computer where the tv is located.) We were greeted by our instructor, Brian Richardson, and given some basic instructions before we began. We were informed that all we would need was notepad (the program) and Internet Explorer. Normally, I use Firefox, but we used Internet Explorer since that…

Hank the Cowdog Review

Posted in Homeschooling, and Reviews

A little package in the mail introduced us to the world of Hank the Cowdog. You see, we had never heard of Hank or his cohorts. We knew nothing of Drover, Slim, Sally May, High Loper, Little Alfred, Beulah, The Buzzards, Pete, The Coyotes, Plato, or Madame Moonshine. Our adventure with Hank began with the Tornado game. Munchkin immediately fell in love with the pieces that actually looked like the characters (Hank, Drover, Junior the Buzzard). Sue Gregg Cookbooks Review

SueGreggCookbooksWhole Foods Recipes For Healthy Home Cooking I was very excited to learn that I would have the opportunity to test out one of Sue Gregg’s cookbooks. Knowing how much I love baking, An Introduction to Whole Grain Baking with Blender Batter Baking & The Two-Stage Process seemed like the perfect fit. While waiting for the cookbook to arrive, we had delicious fun trying out the free recipes on the website. Sue encourages everyone to try out the recipes prior to ordering her cookbooks. She knows that the methods used in the cookbooks will not be for everyone. It’s not…

Sense & Sensibility Review

I had lost motivation to tackle unpacking and setting up my sewing area. There were a few things that I wanted to sew, but there wasn’t really anything that gave me that extra nudge to get it done. Thankfully, an opportunity came through to review an Edwardian Child’s Apron eClass by Sense & Sensibility. Last year, we had picked up some fabric on clearance, but I wasn’t sure what we would use it for at the time. Munchkin really liked it, so we went ahead and purchased the two coordinating fabrics. I checked the pattern and found that we had…

TOS Schoolhouse Planner Review

Posted in Homemaking, Homeschooling, and Reviews

Moving across country has completely thrown off our schedule. Organization? Hmm… we’re trying to be organized, but somehow complete organization has gone out the window. A new state, a new climate, a new time zone, a new house… It’s time to regroup and rethink a few things. This new beginning allows us to start fresh. We can add in new things and take away things that won’t work. I was thrilled when I learned that I would have the opportunity to review the TOS 2009 Schoolhouse Planner. Having seen some of the preview pages, I thought this might be exactly…
