Cupcakes, Cupcakes Everywhere

Cupcakes here ~ Cupcakes there Project 365 – #034 Yesterday, we had a good bit of fun making and decorating cupcakes.  After we finished making the cupcakes, Munchkin headed next door to see if her friend was available to play.  They were going to play outside, but the temperatures have dropped here.  (Nothing like many parts of the country are dealing with right now, but quite chilly for us.)  I told them that they could play upstairs instead. Soon, I heard lots of giggling going on as they set up a very elaborate American Girl play scene.  It took them…

Sweet Reward: Chocolate Chunk Muffins

Project 365 – #018 Sometimes, when you’ve been cleaning, purging, and organizing for some time, you need a little extra motivation to keep moving.  Today, Munchkin decided that she wanted something with chocolate, so I whipped up a batch of gluten free chocolate chunk muffins. The delicious aroma filled the house as we continued to sort through bags and boxes.  When the timer went off, I headed to the kitchen and pulled the muffins out of the oven.  After a short period of cooling off, we bit into the warm muffins.  Mmmm…. A Taste of Chocolate

Project 365 – #015 Munchkin really likes Hershey’s chocolate bars – no nuts – just chocolate.  For Christmas, she received a huge Hershey’s chocolate bar.  These are the last two pieces that remain.  Well, they did remain up until last night. lol!  She was very proud that she made that chocolate bar last for some time.  She even shared a few pieces with Daddy and a piece with me. This post is part of 365 Project.

It also has a unique flavor. I probably wouldn’t use it in delicate baking items as it would throw off the flavor, but for cooking, it was perfect. It has a high melting point and is shelf stable. It also has no trans fatty acids. Since Virgin Palm Oil is stable at high temps, I decided to try it out a slightly different version…

Gluten Free Chicken Noodle Soup

Posted in Gluten Free, Homemaking, and Photography

Munchkin’s allergies have really kicked in which means that she’s sick all too often.  Usually, she’s down for 24-48 hours, but this time, she’s been hit a bit harder.  I’m a big softy when she’s sick, so when she asked me to make her some chicken noodle soup, I couldn’t help but say yes. Quick and Easy Gluten Free Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe Ingredients: 3 quarts water 3 Tbsp gf powdered vegetable broth 1 grilled chicken breast, chopped into bite-sized pieces 1 package of gf Tinkyada brown rice pasta (I used fun shapes) 1 package of frozen mixed veggies Directions:…
