Fitness Friday: Getting Healthy

After the craziness of the last few weeks, this week was all about getting healthy again. For me, this meant that I got back to the basics with eating real, healthy, whole food. It also meant getting a good night’s sleep as well as some rest during the day as I tried to shake the illness. This week, I ate a lot more veggies and fruits. I made my own smoothie popcicles for a healthy snack, and I drank a smoothie each day. I had little to no sugar, and I didn’t eat processed foods. Exercise certainly is important, but…

This week, due to graduation and guests, I took a break from my 21 Day Fix program. Friday was Munchkin’s graduation. Saturday was her open house, and we needed to prepare for all of our guests as well as get everything together for the open house. Sunday and Monday we spent time with visiting family. Tuesday, we headed over to the Grand Canyon. Wednesday and Thursday we finished up our goodbyes to visiting family. Needless to say, it was a busy week. This week, we were prepping for Munchkin’s graduation and company, so I took a day off from the full workout here and there. On days when I didn’t get in a 21 Day Fix workout, I either did the 10 minute ab workout included in the program, or I just did a lot of physical labor. We’ve been enjoying beautiful weather, so it’s easy to spend more time outdoors getting exercise. Week 5 – check! This has been an interesting and busy week. I missed one day due to traveling and another day due to just being exhausted. I had been painting and moving bins which lead to me being too physically spent to try to do the regular exercise. Travel day found me eating some things that I have avoided during the last few weeks, but, for the most part, I have tried to stick to my normal diet.
