When Munchkin was quite young and we were living in North Carolina, we rented a small travel trailer to take a nice camping trip.  We’d always done tent camping up to this point, so it was a new adventure for us.  The summer temps (and humidity) in the South weren’t something that we used to, and we quickly learned that tent camping was okay only during certain months.  Otherwise, it was just miserable, and I ended up feeling absolutely horrid after a day camping. Fighting to Stay Healthly

The flu bug is making it’s way around the base.  Friends and co-workers have come down with a bad case of the stomach flu.  Yuck!  I’ve been feeling under the weather, and I can feel myself getting sick.  I’m making sure that I’m getting extra sleep and eating good, healthy foods.  Due to not staying up later, I am quite behind on many things including reviews and blog reading.  Hopefully, after the holiday weekend, I’ll be able to get back on track.  Thank you for being patient with me. Finding Balance

This week, Munchkin will be wrapping up her current school year.  Homeschooling year around can make it difficult at times to really judge when one year ends and the next year begins.  This time, we’re using her main subjects as our guide.  If she completes all her work as planned this week, she’ll happily enjoy a week off from school next week. I’m using this current time to evaluate how I did as a teacher and mom over this past year.  I’m making a few adjustments in how I handle things, and I’m putting my expectations of Munchkin in writing.…
