Our Campsite at Picacho

The term campsite doesn’t seem to really fit where we were in Picacho. It was more of a camp location.  Just like when we went camping in Kofa, we just found a spot that we liked and camped.  The only cost involved for us was the cost of the fuel for the generator.  If it was cooler, we wouldn’t have needed the generator quite as much.  Yes, we could have gone old school and lived without power, but we did want to have fun. lol!  We turned the generator off in the evenings when it cooled down and opened the…

Grand Canyon Adventure: Unexpected Overnight Surprise

Munchkin has been hoping that she would at least get to see some snow while we were here.  She misses her snow. **grin**  As we were driving here, we saw snow on the mountain peaks.  The closer we got the more snowy mountains we saw.  Then, we saw some snow along the road.  As we turned off the highway to head toward our campground, we saw patches of snow all over the place.  Munchkin started to get excited.  At least she would be able to play in the little patch of snow.  This made her more than a little happy.…

Going to the Grand Canyon

I’m so excited! We are finally on our way to the Grand Canyon.  We have planned to go more than once since we moved to Arizona this past summer, but it never worked out.  After some other tentative plans fell through, we decided to head there this week.  I scrambled around and found a campground for us to stay at (in our travel trailer).  We should have internet access, but I’m not sure how much I’ll be posting this week. Buffalo Guys Jerky Giveaway

D really enjoys jerky, but it’s not easy to find jerky that is good and gluten free.  When I found out that Buffalo Guys had a gluten free jerky, I knew that I wanted to check them out.  I was pleased to see that not only did they have gluten free buffalo jerky, but they also supported our troops.  I love that!  I was excited to be able to sample some of their jerky.
