The Scenic Route: Joshua Tree National Park

We were heading down the hill to get some groceries and see a movie, but we decided that we would take an off the beaten path route instead of the traditional highway route. We put on our hiking boots and brought our camelbaks “just in case”. Daddy did a quick check on his truck to make sure everything looked good, and we hit the road. Dolphin and Whale Watching at Dana Point

When we heard that Grandma and Grandpa were going to be in CA, we started to schedule a time for us to get together. They thought it would be really cool if we could go on a Dolphin and Whale Watching boat tour, so on Sunday morning, we headed over to meet them. We had a blast even though it was a bit choppy that day. We saw dolphins, sea lions, and a gray whale.

Big Bear Lake with Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa were a few hours away from us at a conference, so they decided to stay a few extra days and take a bit of a detour over our way. We were thrilled to be able to spend a couple of days with them.
