We had a wonderful visit with our new Pastor last night. He stopped by to see if we had any questions about the church and to pray with us before D left. It was nice to see a Pastor that had a genuine desire to help his flock. This weekend we’ll be spending time preparing for D’s departure, so I won’t be online. We’re praying that he’ll be able to come home some weekends, but there is no guarantee. We’ll be spending family time together, and I’ll be doing lots and lots of baking. This week I am very thankful for all of the kindness, warm responses, and prayers that I have received from my fellow bloggers. We greatly appreciate all of the kind comments that you have left. I am grateful that although D will be deploying we still have some time before he leaves. Granted, he will not be here in the same state with us for the next few months, but there is a good chance that we’ll still get to spend some time together on some weekends. Free Slurpee Day

Just a reminder to all: July 11th is once again Slurpee day – a wonderful day to celebrate the creation of the Slurpee. This year, as in the years before, 7-Eleven stores will be handing out 1000 free 7.11oz Slurpees from 7am until 11pm (or until supplies last). Yay! Free Slurpee!!!!
