I have gotten out of the habit of menu planning, so this week, I’m making the effort to get back into menu planning for my own sanity.  While we’re still eating home cooking each day, I’ve found myself rushing around more than I would like when dinner time approaches, so I’m taking steps to correct the unnecessary evening craziness. VocabAhead is a GRE, SAT, ACT Vocabulary prep program.  The videos and mp3s can be played on a computer with a dvd-rom drive.  The dvd-rom may or may not work on a traditional dvd player.  The cool thing about the VocabAhead mp3s (audios) and mp4s (videos) is that they can be loaded onto an ipad, ipod, itouch, iphone….  The mp3s can be listened to on any mp3 player.  Students and teachers can also utilize the Study Room on the VocabAhead website to enhance the learning experience with quizzes, videos, and flash cards. Handmade Heart Shelf

Project 365 – #036 Today, we stopped by Home Depot to pick up their free wood project for kids.  This month, they had a heart shelf for Valentine’s Day.  While they normally have the kids and parents do the project at the store, you can get the project and take it home.  This is what we normally do as it allows us to do things on our own time and in our own way. The free monthly project is just unfinished wood, so the child and parent can decide how they want to finish it.  I personally think it’s a…
