Green Toys Sand Play Set Review

Posted in Reviews

Green Toys Inc. makes an awesome line of classic children’s toys constructed from recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials. This helps reduce fossil fuel use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the overall health and happiness of the planet. We were thrilled to get the opportunity to review the Green Toy Sand Play Set.  As soon as the package arrived, Munchkin grabbed the pail, rake, shovel, and mold and headed outside to test it out.  She was impressed with how sturdy the entire set was while playing.  She loves the idea that her toy is made out of 100%…

Sixteen Cities Music Review

Posted in Christian Life, and Reviews

Around here, we are always looking for good Christian music as we listen to a lot of music.  We recently received the self-titled debut album from a band called Sixteen Cities.  Since they’re fairly new on the music scene, we were curious to hear their sound.  As we do with all cds, we quickly converted the songs to mp3, so we could listen to the songs on the go. We listened to Sixteen Cities as we were driving around.  We all liked the relevant, upbeat music that we were hearing.  The strong vocals were great combined with electric guitars and…

Can Do Kid Bars Review

Posted in Gluten Free, and Reviews

Can Do Kid has 3 kids nutrition/energy bars that are gluten free.  These organic bars are formulated to meet the nutritional needs of active kids.  They have no trans fats, no high fructose corn syrup, 9 grams of protein, and 17 essential vitamins and minerals.  Each of the packages contains 2 small bars. Nature’s Path Gluten Free Cereals Review

Posted in Gluten Free, and Reviews

After going gluten free, we quickly realized how few (read no) “regular” cereals were gluten free (that has changed since we first went gluten free). Most cereals contained malt even if the other ingredients were safe. We tried to find replacements for our old favorite cereals, but we found that most of them lacked in taste and texture. EnviroKidz was one of the first brands of kids cereals that actually tasted good and that Munchkin wanted to eat.  Panda Puffs (peanut butter puffs), Gorilla Munch (think kix), and Koala Krisp (chocolate rice crispies) became staples at our house. Munchkin loved…
