Daddy decided that we would take a short off-roading trip on Saturday afternoon, so we quickly loaded up the truck and headed out. While we had been to the general area before, we had never made it all the way back to Ferguson Lake. We were thrilled when D decided that he finally felt up to hiking again as it had been a long time since we’ve been able to go hiking together as a family. Even when he was able to go hiking previously, due to his back issues, he was unable to even carry his own hydration pack. Our Bear loved camping from the first time that we took him out. He just loved being outdoors. As he got older, he preferred camping in the trailer over tent camping which is completely understandable. I mean sleeping on a bed is much easier on an older body than sleeping on the hard ground. As we said goodbye to our beloved pet in December, we also felt the grief of not being able to take him out camping one last time.
