Chilly Trophy Day

The final soccer game of the 2008 season was very chilly, in the 30s. We were all bundled up and many of us couldn’t sit still as it was just too cold. The kids played well, and Munchkin’s team ended their season with a win. After the game, they had the trophy ceremony for the kids. Munchkin’s coach was a teenage girl. I always love to learn what is…

I was not looking forward to teaching history, but a funny thing happened along the way… History started to come alive as we started our journey into our nation’s past. We are blessed to live in a history rich area. We can visit battlefields where Daddy brings the battles to life. He points out trenches and areas that would be good places to attack. We take guided tours of historical sites, and Munchkin becomes a junior park ranger for the day.…
