Dixie’s Surgery

Today was quite the interesting day which involved a “field trip” to a local vet to have Dixie’s tumor removed from her leg. Please note: some of this images may be disturbing to some people. The First Day of the 2013/2014 Homeschool Year

While Munchkin has been doing some school the last few weeks, it hasn’t been the full load of classes. Today, we’re officially starting our 9th year of homeschooling only it’s starting off a little differently due to our new volunteer work at the horse rescue. Our new school day will also look different as school work will be done after we get home from the stables. Our curriculum is similar to what we used last year with a few changes. This horse is my latest art project. For this picture, I worked with pencil and charcoal. I still have more detail to add to get it just right, but it’s a good start. I made a few more changes to the picture and came up with this second version.

I’m in the process of editing my first book, Broken. The editing process is taking forever, but I’ll eventually get it done. Of course, I’m working on the second book in the series while editing, so that may be part of the issue. United States Vice Presidents Notebooking Pages

To continue on with prepping for our upcoming American government study, I went ahead and created notebooking pages for the Vice Presidents to go along with the President notebooking pages. There is a page for each of the Vice Presidents as well as a couple of pages for Vice President facts and copywork for the oath of office.
