High School Graduation 2015

Posted in Family, and Homeschooling

It’s hard to believe that a little over a week has passed since Munchkin graduated from high school. While our homeschool journey has come to an end, learning will never end. We’re already preparing for college and other learning endeavors. Graduation day started a bit early for us as we had to travel to the graduation venue. Even though it made for a long day, I was glad they did the rehearsal and ceremony on the same day. We met up with family for lunch at Chick-fil-a before dropping Munchkin off for the rehearsal. Munchkin had fun getting to know…

Graduation Gift Ideas from Family Christian

Graduation Gift ideas sponsored by Family Christian. This post may contain affiliate links. I can’t believe that Munchkin is graduating this week. Yikes! I’ve been working on finding some meaningful gifts that fit with her interests, and we found some really great gifts at Family Christian. High School Graduation is a big milestone in becoming a successful adult. We want her to start off her adult life on the right foot by nurturing her faith. A new Bible with a special journal seemed to make perfect sense. When I found the Archaeological Study Bible, I knew that it would be…

Life Without Internet

Posted in Family, and Homesteading

Munchkin and I have been without internet for nearly a week. For me, it’s been a little frustrating at times as there have been things that I wanted to get done, but, at the same time, it’s been a rather productive week without the distraction that the internet can bring with it. (I did have access to my email on my phone, so I did my best to stay somewhat on top of that at least.) Munchkin, on the other hand, didn’t miss having internet at all which surprised me. When I asked if she wanted to head to the…

May is Graduation Month

Posted in Family, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

I’m going to apologize in advance because, during the month of May, I’ll be sharing a lot of things that are graduation related as we prepare for Munchkin’s graduation. I have plans for graduation gift ideas, open house ideas, decorations, and a variety of other things. Hopefully, you won’t get tired of me posting about everything leading up to the graduation as well as the graduation and open house. It’s a pretty big event for us, so we’re rather excited about celebrating this milestone in Munchkin’s life. While we know that Munchkin will be attending community college for at least…

Sweet Sixteen

Posted in Family

Somewhere along the way my baby grew up. It’s hard to believe that she’s now sixteen. Once she gets her hours in with her driving permit, she’ll be getting her license. She’s no longer a little girl, but she’ll always be my baby. Her birthday started off with her opening some cards and presents. New headphones, which were needed due to her old ones falling apart, where quickly tested out. A much wanted Star Wars Lego set was met with a huge grin of delight. Then we were off to Chick-fil-a for a late lunch as that was what the…
