Our week started out with freezing weather and some snow. It ended with beautiful, warm, sunny days. We headed outside in our summer clothes and had fun working and playing in the warm sun. The yard needed a lot of work due to being neglected all winter long. When you have lots of pine trees, you have lots and lots and lots of pine needles and pine cones to clean up. Our first actual snowfall of the year. It isn’t much, but Munchkin was thrilled to be able to have some snow to play in. Munchkin is thinking about what she wants to make with the snow. She decides to build a snow face. It has many different facial expressions over the time period that she was outside.

Munchkin was pleased with how her car turned out. There were a lot of very cool cars that showed up on race day. Munchkin’s completed car. A few cars lined up to be judged. Munchkin’s car lined up on the track ready to race. She came in second or third in her races. She was pleased until she realized that she wouldn’t be moving on to the next round. At the end of the day, they awarded prizes to the racers for both achievements in racing and appearance. They all received an award for participation as well as Awana bucks.
My New Desk

D built Munchkin and I matching desks. I was finally able to get my desk painted. I’m hoping to get Munchkin’s desk done soon. I’m thrilled to finally show off D’s handy work. I think he did a great job. We took the handles off old end tables that were heading to the dump. I’d love to say that my desk is always this organized, but I’d be lying. lol! Now, if I could only figure out a way to make it all look more organized underneath the desk. hmmm…
