Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is the international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs. Mission Statement: The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. How is it possible that my baby girl is 18-years-old? Time passes so quickly. It seems like it was just yesterday that she was a little girl hoping to go see the dolphins and killer whales at Sea World. At least some things never change. It’s hard to believe that 2 years have passed since M’s high school graduation. Time has flown, and now she’s getting ready to graduate with a 2-year degree and transfer to her 4-year university. I can’t say that I’m ready for all of this to happen, but it’s happening. This month is going to be filled with various graduation festivities in addition to trying to wrap up her studies, finish projects, and cram for finals.
