We completed our unit on geography with a focus on maps today. We used a partial Hands of a Child unit. Munchkin had fun designing the layout this afternoon. We picked up the fun file folder at Big Lots yesterday. They had packages of 12 for $2! It’s fun to have playful file folders at times.
Little Town on the Prairie is the seventh lapbook in the free Little House on the Prairie Lapbook series based on the Little House books. These were designed to be used as a book review or as part of a Little House unit study. It has a complete study guide with lapbook components.

Yesterday, I received 2 emails about 2 different families. Both families were reaching out to their friends and family for prayers. Both families had a child that was missing. Last night, I once again received 2 emails about these same 2 families. Both families had found their missing child. One child had been abducted and drugged. She had somehow been able to escape and call for help. She is now safely in the loving arms of her family. One child had been found in the family’s pond. On July 4th, History Channel decided to make Liberty’s Kids a part of their regular line-up. I had written about the trial run here. Munchkin and I enjoy the Liberty’s Kids series, so we were glad to have it back on air. They have officially aired all 40 episodes now. It was great to see them in order from beginning to end. There is a wonderful episode guide available online that not only lists the episodes with descriptions, but also the historical content of each episode. I’ve printed out the pdf file for my records.
