Songs for Sunday: Winter

Posted in Christian Life

Winter by Sixteen Cities How did I ever get this broken? I never meant to fall this far. I feel like I’m completely frozen. Can I find a way, back to where you are? Cuz I’ve been searching for the sun, but I don’t know if anyone, can tell me how to find my way home. All the things that I’ve become, are all the things I’m running from. I don’t want my heart to turn to stone. This cold has been so bitter… can you save me from this winter? It came creepin in so slowly, And now its…

Having Fun at the Ballgame

Posted in Family, and Military Life

Munchkin had her second baseball game today.  It was another warm, sunny day as we headed to the field.  The idea was that I would just sit and watch the game.  It didn’t play out that way.  I ended up helping with the kids in the dugout, so I came home after the game and immediately elevated and iced my ankle. The good news is that my ankle is slowly starting to get better.  I’m able to move a bit more without major pain.  The stairs are still a huge cause of pain, so I’m mainly stay…

Grand Canyon Adventure: Keyhole Loop Trail

Posted in Family

Another stop during our Grand Canyon Adventure was a little trail called Keyhole Loop Trail.  It’s located in Kaibob National Forest right outside of Williams, Arizona.  We stopped by to see the park ranger to see if he had any maps of the local trails.  He informed us that many of the trails were still closed due to slow, so we’d want to be careful while hiking.  He then went on to recommend the Keyhole Loop Trail because it had something special to see at the end of the trail…. We hiked and hiked over snow banks, through the mud,…
