Exhausted

Posted in Thoughts

I am exhausted. I was able to finish painting Munchkin’s room today which was a major feet. I had to paint the ceiling in addition to the walls. The whole room (ceiling included) was painted orange when we moved in. Sadly, I’m just now getting to painting the room for her. She’ll get to enjoy it while we’re still here, and it will help with resale. We painted the walls a light chocolate and the ceiling a light pink. Her closet and organizer are painted almond. I’ll post pictures once I get the room put back together. Tonight, she’s sleeping on her bed in the middle of the room. I love, love, love the new no/low VOC paint!! No paint fumes to deal with!!

Our realtor is coming tomorrow for our first meeting. No, the house isn’t ready, but it’s getting closer. (We have a huge pile of empty boxes in the living room, bulk groceries in the kitchen, “stuff” in other rooms. lol!) We still have several things to get done, but I have a feeling that we’ll continue doing things right up until the point that it’s listed.

We’re continuing to go through things and box stuff up. We have packed boxes for moving and bags for give away. I need to get other things listed for sale. Then, there are other bags with trash. We still have lots of unpacked boxes from the last move in the attic. I’ll be going through those in the attic once the house is already listed. Whew!! I get more tired as I think of everything left to do.

I’m trying to just tackle one thing at a time, but I’m starting to get a little overwhelmed with everything as I look around. My mind is racing, so I’m going to spend some time with the Lord before I fall asleep. His strength will get me through all of this craziness.

Hello! I just started reading your blog and I appreciate all that you’ve shared. I went to a few of the free unit studies sites and got a lot of good information and ideas. Thanks!
I used to be a Marine wife too, which is another reason why I enjoy coming to your blog.*Ü* So do you guys know where you’ll be stationed next? My husband only did four years in the Corps, so we didn’t have to move while enlisted, but it was dealing with deployment after deployment that made things so difficult. We only got to see each other for about two months total in our first 2 years of marriage. I had no idea what being married to the corps meant, but after all those deployments, it was well understood! Ha!
    Semper Fi and God bless,
