The Gift of Love dvd

presented by See the Light

The Gift of Love is a unique way to learn the story of Christ’s birth. First, kids can listen to and view the illustrated story of the birth of Christ. After they story, they can watch and participate in 3 different art lessons:

  • “Rejoice” with Heidi Shorts: students will learn how to create beautiful lettering.  Using the word “rejoice”, students learn different techniques for beautiful, art lettering.  They will also learn how to draw baby Jesus in the manager which turns “rejoice” into a lovely piece of CHRISTmas artwork.
  • “Away in the Manger” with Pat Knepley: students will learn how to draw the nativity scene.
  • “Portrait of Mary” with Gloria Kohlmann: students will learn how to draw Mary using chalk.

Munchkin’s favorite lesson was “Rejoice” with Heidi Shorts.  She enjoyed Miss Heidi’s teaching style the most.  Plus, she liked learning how to create an art piece with fancy lettering.

The Bonus features include:

  • Watch Gloria Kohlman create a beautiful nativity masterpiece while listening to lovely music.
  • The Salvation message
  • Watch and listen to Gloria Kohlman as she creates her nativity scene in chalk art.
  • Meet the See the Light team

Munchkin was fascinated with Gloria Kohlmann’s chalk drawing talents and thoroughly enjoyed watching her draw while listening to the beautiful music.  She is a very gifted chalk artist.  Munchkin has decided that she needs to get a black light and some of the extreme colored pencils, so she can create her own special masterpieces.

See the Light has also made some great resources to expand The Gift of Love learning experience.  You can follow See the Light on Facebook and Twitter.
