Our Thanksgiving Feast

Posted in Family, Holidays, and Thoughts

The turkey looks huge for just the 2 of us, and it was. We have lots of leftover turkey for the freezer for future use. We realized today that we forgot the cranberry sauce, so Munchkin decided to have some today.
We had a good day even though we were missing a very important person. We thank God that he was able to enjoy a good meal even though he wasn’t here.

I’m glad you had your traditional meal. Its important to do that for yourself and munchkin.
I forgot Cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving at my daughter’s also. No one seemed to mind.
I have a recipe for Turkey Spaghetti that will use some of the meat.

Sorry that you were missing your dear husband/father. It’s nice that you gave Munchkin a traditional meal and that your dear one had a good meal, too.

    Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!

YOur day was filled with BEAUTY and I am glad your spirit was too. So thankful your hubby was taken care of too. The Lord is good!

Since my hubby was working on Thanksgiving and we were going somewhere ELSE for THanksgiving, I went to the grocery store that morning and got two turkeys for the freezer at .25 a pound. I figure our cooler weather months will be filled with turkey too…if it means only paying a quarter a pound! 🙂 Anyway. It was a bit odd going to the store-no one was on the roads and driveways were FULL up of cars. I kept pushing down the thought that “Everyone is busy cooking and enjoying each others company and I I am going to the grocery store…

    🙂

I was very thankful for your Thanksgiving wishes, needless to say, and they helped put me back in a better frame of mind. After all-if YOU can be joyous with your husband so far away from you-so should I!
