Thankful Thursday

Posted in Family

The name of the Lord is like a strong tower. Godly people run to it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10

I’m thankful for this beautiful verse that started out our school week. Munchkin is now keeping a verse journal. She’s writing down the verses that stick out as special for us as we go through our lessons.

I’m thankful that I was able to pick up the Prairie Primer very inexpensively. It’s been wonderful to watch Munchkin light up and really look forward to the daily readings and lessons.

I’m thankful for the caring spirit of my daughter. She’s been showing wisdom beyond her years in some of her dealings this week. I am also blessed to have a good relationship with my daughter. I am praying that this relationship will always be there even through tough times.

I’m thankful that we’ve been able to find many wonderful resources for gluten-free kids. Munchkin is really excited about some of the books that we’ve found for her at the library!

“I will lie down and sleep in peace. Lord, you alone keep me safe.” Psalm 4:8 (from our evening devotions).

My daughter is grown now, but we have always had a close relationship. People ask how we did through the teen years and they look surprised when I tell them it was smooth sailing.

Keep teaching her what is right and stay close with her. She is a beautiful girl, inside and out!

With such a fine foundation, it is likely that your journey through the teen years will not be stress-free, but highly successful and bearable. (ALL teenagers challenge their parents, no matter what great kids they are.)

Blessings to you and your family.
