Wet Trampoline Fun and other happenings…

Posted in Family

As I stated before the temps are starting to creep up, so the kids are looking for ways to cool off.  On Friday, Munchkin and her friend decided that they wanted to put a sprinkler under the trampoline for a little fun.  The only problem was we realized that we left the sprinkler at our old house.  Hmmm…. we grabbed the hose with the sprayer.  Underneath the trampoline, we propped up the sprayer with 2 large rocks so it was spraying up onto the bottom of the trampoline.  It made for a fun, wet, slippery, crazy place for the girls to play.  (It’s our rule that only 2 people can be on the trampoline at a time to keep things safe.)

Trampoline Jump

The girls had so much fun bouncing and laughing and playing.  I enjoyed listening to their happy squeals of delight.

Trampoline Bounce

On Saturday, after the game, we headed home and ate lunch and then we headed out to the desert.  Munchkin and D rode on their dirt bikes and I walked around looking at the various rocks and taking pictures of the flowers.  At some point, my ankle twisted, and I heard a loud pop.  It hurt, but I was able to walk on it.  I got back to the truck, and D loaded up the bikes as it was time to head home.  By the time we arrived home, my ankle was really, really hurting.  I could barely walk on it.  By Sunday morning, it was a beautiful array of black, blue, purple, yellow… and I was in a great deal of pain.

So, I spent my Sunday in bed reading (thus all of the completed book reviews) with my ankle propped up.  Periodically, D or Munchkin would bring me an ice pack (much to my dismay — too cold!!!).  Hopefully, my ankle will feel better quickly as there is just too much for me to do around here….  Thankfully, I have a precious “little” girl who loves to help mommy.

    • I’m still hurting, but I have some beautiful color on my ankle. 😉 D tried to get me an ACE wrap today, but the exchange didn’t have any. He can’t head off base to get anything, and I’m not driving anywhere. (It’s my right ankle.) Maybe tonight after practice, he’ll be able to go get one. We’ll see…

  4. Hi Heather,
I pray that your ankle will soon be better. 😀

Munchkin looks as if she is having such a fun time – the trampoline is very different from what we buy here in Australia.

    Have a wonderful week,
    Love and blessings, Jillian ♥
