Chronicles of DinosauriaChronicles of Dinosauria Book Description:

Every legend is said to include some grain of truth, and for years co-author Dave Woetzel has sought to separate fact from fiction as he explores mysteries related to dinosaurs, mankind’s history, and the biblical time-line. Teaming with artist and designer Richard Dobbs, the two have created a visual archive of expeditions and intriguing clues to explore, all of which highlight the connection to the authority and reliability of Scripture.

Provocative artifacts from around the world are examined in an exquisite, full-color book that hints at man’s familiarity with living dinosaurs. Studies point to more than simple answers beneath the waves of Loch Ness, and other sites around the world, many investigated personally by the author. Here is the study of cryptozoology and the discoveries that seem to defy all evolutionary time-lines, vividly illustrated and filled with rare photos.

About the Authors:

Dave Woetzel graduated from Bob Jones University in 1987 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree. He is the president of CCR Data Systems, a technology firm and in 1999 started the Genesis Park website which showcases evidence that men and dinosaurs coexisted, much of which is now included in this book. His personal research and experience in remote countries in search of evidence for man and dinosaur coexistence gave him the nickname, “Dino Dave”.

After high school, Richard Dobbs enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was assigned to Camp Pendleton. In 1989 he participated in Desert Storm as an M-60 Gunner, providing security detail. In 1991 he showed his personal art portfolio to the Camp Pendleton Art Department and was accepted into their graphics team despite his lack of formal training. After leaving the Marines, Richard earned an Associate’s Degree in Commercial Art from Johnston Community College in Smithfield, North Carolina. Richard works as a freelance artist and graphic illustrator.

My Thoughts:

Upon receipt of the book, Munchkin immediately swiped it and began digging into it. She has always been fascinated by dinosaurs. She watches and reads books about dinosaurs from both a Biblical worldview and an evolutionary worldview. She then compares and contrasts the two and seeks the truth based upon what the Bible and history show us. One of the things that really caught her attention in Chronicles of Dinosauria was that it contained different information. Now, she’s hungry to learn more about some of the discoveries mentioned in the book. It renewed her interest in dinosaurs as it brought up new information and facts rather than just presenting the same information in a different format.

For the most part, the illustrations were quite good. There are both full color illustrations and black and white illustrations with some photographs of artifacts thrown in here and there where applicable to the information being presented. Some new (at least new to us) dinosaurs were presented which definitely peaked her interest. As a budding artist, Munchkin has a critical eye for proportions and details that most kids her age do not share, so she found some of the illustrations seemed to be a little “off”. That being said, she really enjoyed the dinosaur illustrations.

Chronicles of Dinosauria focuses on evidence and history that shows that dinosaurs and man co-existed. It’s interesting as Woetzel actually visited many remote locations and historical sites seeking the truth, seeking proof about dinosaurs and man. He went beyond the typical book research and did a lot of hands on, in-the-field research which lead to an in-depth look into the subject of dinosaurs and man. You will want to follow the Chronicles of Dinosauria facebook page new information, new research, new pictures are posted as the research and adventure continues.
