This week, we read through week one of Jotham’s Journey. If you haven’t read this book for Advent before, I highly recommend it. Two years ago, a friend showed it to me when we started talking about Advent activities. I couldn’t find it until last year. Unfortunately, last year, due to me recovering from surgery, we never made it past the first 2 days. This year, we are really enjoying our journey with Jotham.
Munchkin worked on her Names of Jesus Keepsake Tree. She researched these names:
Shiloh
Messiah
Morning Star
Good Shepherd
Munchkin wrote her findings on notebooking pages that I created for her. She plans on making a simple Names of Jesus book once she finishes her study. Since she’s really enjoying this study, she may continue this study after Christmas. I’ll leave it up to her.
This week, Munchkin was also asked to join the Christmas production at church. She’s going to be the second angel with a speaking part. One of the songs that they are going to be singing is Go Tell It On The Mountain…
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and far away
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born
The shepherds all were watching
Over their sheep at night
When a guiding star shone from heaven
And the followed that holy light
Got tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born
They found a lovely manger
Where the humble Christ was born
And God sent out salvation
On that blessed Christmas morn
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born
He brought with Him forgiveness
He live to show us the way
He came to redeem all creation
And to wash all our sins away
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born
