During the week, D eats waffles that I have made and frozen for him. (I’m not getting up that early and making waffles. lol!) If for some reason there are no waffles ready, he’ll eat cereal, but he prefers the waffles. I always wonder if he’ll get tired of them, but he doesn’t. It’s just something that works for us.
Most Saturday mornings, you will find D in the kitchen cooking breakfast. It’s not something that I ask him to do, and I certainly don’t expect it. Yet, that is what you’ll find him doing most weekends. He cooks up omelets, pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, potatoes… Basically, he cooks up a nice hearty breakfast based upon what we have around, and what he feels like eating.
It gives me a bit of a break from the kitchen, and he and Munchkin have a little bonding time before I come downstairs. While I don’t get to sleep in, I do get to relax a little before starting the day. When breakfast is ready, I head down, and we all eat together.
I am very grateful for D making breakfast on Saturday mornings.
Praise God for husbands who are willing to help!
Blessings,
Jillian
