I don’t know about you, but I don’t like making julienne cuts with a knife. For whatever reason, it takes me forever to make those fine cuts. When I saw that a vegetable peeler could also julienne, I was quite interested to see how well it worked. I knew the key would be whether or not the blades were sharp and whether or not it was a sturdy unit.
I normally use a vertical vegetable peeler, so there was a little adjusting to using a horizontal peeler. Thankfully, it was actually quite easy to use because of how it was designed.
The Deiss Dual Julienne and Vegetable Peeler allows you to peel a veggie with one side and julienne a veggie with the other. The blades are very sharp which makes for efficient peeling, slicing, and julienning of your vegetables. It’s a bit heavier than the cheaper peelers which makes it feel sturdy in your hand. It has a nice balance and comfort grip handle making it easy to use.
I was impressed with how easy this julienne and veggie peeler was to use on a variety of veggies including carrots, apples, cucumbers, zucchini, potatoes, and more. I liked being able to quickly have julienne cuts for salads and other meals without all the work involved with knife cuts or with pulling out a food processor (in my case attachments for my stand mixer).

Hi Heather, nice review, I also love the dual functionality of this peeler. Thanks again.
