The Marine Corps Ball was quickly approaching, and I was having some issues with my skin breaking out even with regular skin care maintenance. When I was given the opportunity to try out the Soniclear sonic skin cleansing device from Michael Todd, I jumped at the chance.
I had seen similar devices on t.v., but I had never tried them. I liked the fact that Soniclear had antimicrobial protection against stain and odor causing bacteria built right into the brush. It came with two different brush heads – one for the body and one for the face. It has different speeds available for both the body and face. It was nice that the unit could tell which brush head was on it, and only offer the speeds for that particular brush head. There are replacement heads available as well as some other accessories.
All that is great, but ultimately, it’s all about how it works. I honestly wasn’t as concerned with the body brush aspect even though it’s pretty cool. For me, it was all about the face brush. It felt quite relaxing on the face unless I got too close to my nose in which case it tickled. **grin** I used my own organic, fragrance-free cleaning products with the brush, so I could see the difference between just using the products and using them with the Soniclear cleansing device. My skin was cleaner, smoother, and softer after using Soniclear.
After several days of using the Soniclear, my skin was looking healthier. It was certainly doing a better job of getting my skin clean than just using the facial products on their own. I don’t normally wear a lot of make-up, but for the Marine Corps Ball, I got all dolled up which meant more make-up. For me, using more make-up usually means that my skin breaks out the next day even if I use great, natural make-up products. This time, I used the Soniclear to help wash my face after the ball, and I had no issues.
While the body brush aspect wasn’t my primary focus, it does do a nice job of cleaning the skin – especially the acne prone areas on my body. The deep clean that it provides makes for happier, healthier skin which results in fewer break-outs.
Needless to say, I’m quite impressed with this device. My skin looks and feels healthier which makes me happy.
