The Fire Pit Destroyer

Wyatt, our youngest dog, has a passion for hunting all things that move. One of his favorite things to stalk would have to be lizards. At the cabin, he’s moved piles of rather large rocks just to try to snag a lizards. How he doesn’t hurt himself is truly beyond me. Unfortunately, our fire pit here has suffered the same fate as that pile of rocks at the cabin. He may be a little obsessed with lizards. What do you think?
Roasted Root Vegetable Medley

We’ve been thoroughly enjoying our CSA boxes the last couple of weeks, but it does require some creativity to figure out how to use everything. I’m personally not a big fan of radishes or beets, so I needed to decide how to use these in a manner that we would all still enjoy them. I started thinking about how oven roasted changes the flavor of many veggies, so I decided to give it a try. I grabbed what root veggies I had on hand, but you can easily substitute whatever you have to create your own unique root veggie medley.…
We picked up our first CSA box on Monday, and it was filled with lots of greens including broccoli greens. The broccoli greens have a mild broccoli flavor, and we found them quite delicious when cooked with brown butter and served with baked chicken.
