Munchkin has always loved egg hunts. She was itty bitty when she went to her first one, and now, at almost 14, she still has a blast with them. A couple of weeks ago when we were up at the cabin, I decided to surprise her with an egg hunt. Things have been pretty crazy lately, and our trips to the cabin have been filled with work and not so much relaxing. While she understands the importance of getting things finished up, it doesn’t mean that she enjoys the process. I wanted to do something just for her to make it more of a fun trip.
With all of the space at the cabin, it was the perfect setting for a more difficult hunt for our girl. She grinned from ear to ear when she realized that I had set up the egg hunt without her knowledge. Having more space to cover for the hunt and the more difficult hiding of the eggs lead to a longer and more enjoyable hunt.
While she did receive some candy in her eggs, her main prizes included a few small toys and Legos. The Legos gave her something fun to do while up at the cabin. And yes, I love the fact that our teenager still loves egg hunts and playing with Legos. 😉
Lego is fun 🙂
how thoughtful her mom is 😉 🙂
