A Visit from a Javelina

While we were at the cabin, we had an unexpected visitor one day. This Javelina was walking around the garage while D was out there working. He came and got me. I grabbed my camera and headed outside while calling Munchkin to let her know that she needed to come out. I snapped a bunch of pictures while she walked around the yard near the house. Obviously, we kept the dogs inside the house during this process as we didn’t want a fight to ensue. “Havy” disappeared after some time, but it was fun seeing our first Javelina.

To Michigan and Back Again

As I stated yesterday, we planned to begin our journey to Michigan with a stopover at the cabin. When the cabin flooded, family members were concerned that it would change our plans to head up there for Christmas, but we knew that we wanted/needed to be there. Early Christmas at the Cabin

Instead of heading straight up to Michigan for Christmas, we stopped by the cabin. We needed to check in on the progress (or lack thereof as it turned out) of the work, and it was a better starting point for the trip. Munchkin didn’t know it, but Daddy and I thought it would be fun to surprise her by celebrating Christmas at the cabin.
