I love spring evenings in the Arizona desert. Beautiful sunsets combined with comfortable evenings make for a perfect ending to the day.
Earlier in the day, I let the dogs outside as they were acting rather hyper. They ran around a bit until I looked outside and saw a growing swarm of bees. I quickly got the dogs inside before the bees decided to enter the house. I then watched as the swarm grew and took over the backyard. They were everywhere! After awhile, they made their way around the house to the front yard and eventually left our immediate area. I can’t say that I was sad to see them go.
As I cooked up some steaks for dinner, I enjoyed the lovely evening as I knew that all too soon the heat of the desert summer will be upon us. We thought last summer was going to be our last summer here, but it looks like we’re in for at least one more scorching Arizona summer before we bid this home goodbye.
pleased the bees decided to move on
I use to be allergic when I was a child

I was very happy the bees moved on. I’ve never been around that big of a swarm. It was crazy. I was also very grateful the dogs didn’t get stung before I got them inside. Our other pup who passed away was allergic to bees, so I tend to be really careful about such things.
