Daddy and Daughter walking at Air Show

The skies were clouded over on Saturday morning which is not normal for our area. The forecast called for rain in the afternoon – another rare occurrence here. Normally, this wouldn’t be anything to be concerned about, but today was the day for the air show. I hoped that the cloud cover would not cause any issues for the air show attendees. Once Munchkin and I were up and about, we walked over to the air show. Daddy was already over there as he had driven over earlier, so I gave him a call once we arrived. We met up near the entrance and headed in to look at the aircraft and watch the show.

As usual, I lagged a bit behind due to taking pictures. I was trying different features on my camera, so I ended up with way too many pictures. lol! I was a little bummed that we weren’t experiencing our typical clear blue skies because it would have meant better pictures. Oh well…

Munchkin and I walked back home around lunch time and planned on heading back over shortly before the Thunderbirds show was scheduled to begin. Daddy came home a little while later to grab a bite to eat. Munchkin decided that she didn’t want to head back over as she was rather tired, so I got a ride with D to watch the show. I wondered around taking pictures and watching the aerial displays until it was time for the show to begin. (D had to work, so he wasn’t able to join me this time.)

The Thunderbird show lasted around 30 minutes or so, and I took – well – far too many pictures. These pictures are just a brief glimpse into the show and my picture stash. I still haven’t completely gone through all of the pictures. lol!  They really would have looked better had the skies been blue, but alas, that was not to be. Shortly before the show ended, I had D take me home as I didn’t want to get caught up in the crowds, and he needed to be around to help out with the logistics of getting everyone off the base. Once again, our little air show turned out quite nicely.
