Ocotilla Wells: Shell Reef

Project 365 – #206 A shell reef in the middle of the desert?  How could this be?  Hmmm… maybe the world was covered completely by water at some point??? Munchkin scurried up the hill. I decided to follow her up to try to grab a picture or two. D stayed with puppy at the bottom.  Whew!  That was quite the climb up, and the climb down was quite the adventure on such a hot day.

Definitely the Road Less Traveled

Project 365 – #202 Remember that trail sign that I posted yesterday?  Well, we thought we were going down the easy way, but it turns out we were wrong.  Because D’s activities are soooo limited right now, I ended up doing a lot of hiking to scout out the trail ahead as well as spotting as we went through some crazy areas.  D enjoyed himself, but he would have been much happier to go through this particular area at a time when he was feeling 100%.  He felt a bit guilty that I was doing so much scouting and spotting…
