Decorating with Bush Clippings?

Decorating with ClippingsProject 365 – #256

Last night was a crazy, tiring night, so I needed a little pick-me-up today.  Fresh flowers always seem to add a little light and life to a room, but I didn’t want to spend the money on purchasing flowers.  Then, I looked out my window and saw my flowering bushes that could use a bit of pruning.  I quickly grabbed my shears and headed out to trim off a few pieces of the flowering bush.  Once I brought them back inside, I made a cone out of cardboard paper to hold my new flowers.  I decided that I wanted to use them as part of a wall candle display that I have, so I tucked the “vase” of flowers into one of the candle holder spaces.  (And yes, I need new candles which is why there are none in the glass holders. lol!)

A quick, easy pick-me-up that didn’t cost me anything!  Do you have any go-to ideas that help brighten your day?  I’d love to hear about them.
