Project 365 – #235
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children,
and shall talk of them when you sit in your house,
and when you walk by the way,
and when you lie down,
and when you rise.
~Deuteronomy 6:5-7~
Project 365 – #236
It is often said that kids should come with parenting handbooks, but, in some ways, isn’t that just what the Bible is to us? It’s a handbook on how to raise our children up to know Him. No, it doesn’t tell us every intricate detail we may need for the physical rearing of a child, but it definitely focuses on the most important aspects of raising a child. On days where I’m feeling rather lost and rather discouraged because of how our day is going (or how it went), I know that I can turn to scripture for guidance and encouragement. I know that even on the worst of homeschooling days I can find hope in the Lord. I can find peace in His words. I can draw strength from His promises.
