Easy Watering System

Watering PlantsProject 365 – #179

When Munchkin and I decided to plant a garden this year, we knew that we would need to set up some type of easy watering system for it to survive.  As much as I would love to say that we would be faithful watering it, at minimum, two times a day, it’s just not realistic for us.  Hey, I know our short comings.  😉

I looked at the different watering and timer systems that were available and ended up using one that has a small tube to which you attach little sprinklers.  We picked up a digital timer that allowed us to set multiple watering cycles each day.  With it being so hot here, we really need to work to keep the soil moist.

Thankfully, the whole system was pretty easy to set up, and it’s working well.  We’ve got melons, cucumbers, and tomatoes growing well.  We’ve had a few blueberries, but blueberry bushes don’t really produce until after the first year.  Munchkin says we’ll need to take the blueberry bush with us when we move, so we can enjoy it.  We’ll see.

  1. This sounds great. I can’t wait until we move and I can get started on my garden! I’ll have to remember this.
