My love of books is evidenced by all of the full book cases around our house. Unfortunately, sometimes finding the classics can be a time consuming and expensive endeavor. It can also be difficult to move a huge collection of books every time the military sends us to a new location. Not to mention, some houses don’t have room for all of our books. Each move seems to require a book purge **gulp** before and sometimes after the move.
When we were given the opportunity to review Yesterday’s Classics e-book package, I was thrilled. We were able to receive the 225 e-books in either Kindle or EPUB format. Normally, the package retails for $149.95, but from now until May 31st, it’s being offered for the special price of $99.95. The files come in zip format, but they can be downloaded individually if necessary (dial-up users). The great thing is that these books are yours to keep (no deleting the books from your reading device), and you can put them on as many reading devices as you want. You don’t need a dedicated e-reader such as a Kindle or a Nook, you can use it on your computer, i-pad/tablet, or phone. (They have detailed information on the website to help you determine which format is right for you.)
These classic books were nicely converted into digital format. The books have a wonderful interactive table of contents. They contain illustrations if the original works contain illustrations. Even though I prefer to have physical books in my hands, the convenience of having all of those books easily transportable on my Kindle is a huge draw. I spent a good bit of time reading while D was going to doctor’s appointments and at the hospital, so it was nice to be able to have such a wide selection of books in 22 different genres at the click of a button.
While some of these e-books can be found for free online, the quality of these e-books are better than most if not all of the free e-books. You can download a free e-book to sample the quality of the e-books. The great thing is that Yesterday’s Classics come with a 100% guarantee, so I highly recommend checking out this great offer if you want to add a nice selection of the classics and living books to your home library.
I received the above mentioned package as a member of the TOS Crew to help facilitate the writing of frank and honest review. A positive review is not guaranteed, and all opinions are my own.
I love your review – especially the graphics you created for it. Very inspiring!
Love the first shot! Books sound interesting – but a bit pricey.
