Mornings and Evenings with Spurgeon
Charles Spurgeon is known for his no-nonsense style devotions. His devotionals are thought-provoking and fluff-free. As a teen, I was given the older Morning & Evening devotional by Spurgeon. I used it, but I don’t think that I truly appreciated all that was being said in the devotionals.
Starting to read these newly packaged devotionals now, as an adult, I can better grasp and appreciate Spurgeon’s style of devotionals. I like the short devotionals that contain a good bit of meat. I can start my day with a short devotional and think about it throughout the day. I can then end the day with another devotional. This allows me to fall asleep while dwelling on the Lord.

About the Author
Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, poetry, hymns, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than him.
