Passport to the World: Your A to Z Guided Language Tour

Craig Froman

Get on some comfy pajamas. Grab a delicious snack.  Cuddle on the couch.  It’s time to travel around the world with your family.  Only, there is no expense or actual traveling involved on this tour around the world.

Your passport is tucked into the front of the book all ready for your adventure.  The stamps for your passport are in the back of the book.  After you learn a little about the Tower of Babel and the creation of multiple languages, your travels begin in Armenian, Armenia and end in Zulu, Swaziland.  Each featured location from A to Z includes the language of the area, fast facts about the area, greetings from a friend living in the area, as well as other interesting information about the country.

As we dug into the book, we each took turns reading about the various locations.  We were having a great time reading about different languages and cultures.  When we hit Mexico, we found a big Ooops! typo.  The life expectancy in our book is listed as 111,211,789.  Obviously, that’s not correct.  It is listed correctly in the chart at the end of the book.  We did find a few other things such as the language focus of the U.S. was on Cherokee language which was a bit odd.

Overall, we really enjoyed our journey through 26 different languages and countries.  The back of the book which features pages with important facts chart, name that flag, and name that country was a good wrap up for the book.

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book from Master Books to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
