Collectorz: Book Collector Software

Posted in Reviews

Collectorz: Book Database Software Keeping track of all of your books just got a lot easier.  I’ve been guilty of purchasing the same book twice when I didn’t remember that we already had the book.  You see, I’m a book junky.  We have bookcases all over the place in our house.  The movers?  Well, they hate us due to the large number of books they get to move for us.  Now, to be fair, D and I have moved all of those books ourselves, so we do know what we’re asking of them.  **grin** Needless to say, I was rather…

Review: Taking Back Astronomy

Posted in Reviews

Jason Lisle has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Colorado.  He believes that the scientific evidence of astronomy is in harmony with what the Bible teaches us.  He believes that science and faith are not mutually exclusive.  Since very little has been written about the field of astronomy from a Biblical creation perspective, he decided to write Taking Back Astronomy. About the Book: Take a breathtaking look at the universe in this comprehensive guide to the heavens! Sit back and explore the world at your fingertips in this book. Each of us has a world view – a…

Review: Life of Luther

Life of Luther was originally published in 1850 by American Sunday-School Union (ASSU) which is now know as American Missionary Fellowship.  This reproduction of the original book is a hardcover book that looks like an old book.  The pages are rugged and look aged.  The pictures complete the beauty of the reproduction. About the Book: Though a priest and scholar of the Catholic Church, Luther vehemently opposed corruption within the Church and the practice of providing grace from sin through payment to church officials. Defying the Pope and the Church’s authority over Scripture, Luther translated the Bible from Latin to…

A Friend Like That I talk to him when I’m lonesome like; and I’m sure he understands. When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught thereat. For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that. ~W. Dayton Wedgefarth~ We are definitely dog people.  Our “puppy” joined our family shortly after D and I were married.  Since the day we brought him home from the humane society, he has never wanted to be alone.  He loves…

Date Night Giveaway

When D and I first started dating, you know “way back when”, we loved going out for Italian food.  We would sit and talk about this and that while we enjoyed a meal.  We didn’t really care about waiting for the food as we just wanted to spend time together. Now, my favorite date night with D is a relaxing evening at home.  Usually, Munchkin will eat dinner with us, and then we’ll set her up with her own movie and some popcorn.  We’ll enjoy spending time together and watch a movie by ourselves.  It’s very simple, but it’s any…
