the Church History ABCs: Augustine and twenty-five other heroes of the Faith

Kids (and adults) can learn about 26 heroes of the faith as they read The Church History ABCs. Each page contains a letter of the alphabet with a fun little ditty, a hero, and a paragraph telling the reader a little more about the hero. The paragraphs are written so it sounds like that person is talking directly to the reader. They are written in a light-hearted, fun manner to capture kid’s attention.
The book, while geared towards 4-8 year-olds, could be good for many different age groups. I learned (and relearned things long forgotten) about several heroes of faith while reading this book. For those who want to learn more about the individuals in the book, the back of the book contains more information to expand the brief overview contained in the main pages.
The Church History ABCs website offers fun coloring pages and activities to use with the book. Using the book, the coloring pages, and the information in the back of the book, one could create a nice lesson about each hero of faith for a Sunday School class.

We are studying church history from the resurrection to present in our world history study~including Rome and all the other cultural areas that affected it~but most importantly as the precursor to the Middle Ages.
