Queen’s Garden and Navajo Trail Hike

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

Friday, we headed over to Bryce Canyon for the combination trail of Queen’s Garden and Navajo Loop.  It was a beautiful, breezy day with very few clouds in the sky – a perfect day for hiking. If you look carefully at this picture, you can see the trail that we are taking down to the bottom. It was 300+ feet to the bottom. Welcome to the Queen’s Garden. While there were a few hikers that thought they were actually going to see a garden, most realized that they were hiking to a rock garden. Once you reach this point, you…

Hiking Devil’s Garden

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

After our long hike to the waterfall, we stopped by the Devil’s Garden for an easy hike/climb.  In this area, you can climb up on cliffs, scramble up the Hoodoos, and crawl under and over the arches.  It was a natural playground. The day started with a few short rain showers and ended with a beautiful blue sky filled with fluffy white clouds.  A wonderful time was had by all. Hike to the Falls – Lower Calf Creek

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

Wednesday’s adventure took us to the Lower Calf Creek hiking trail.  Our destination?  A 121 foot waterfall.  It was a 6 mile round trip hike up and down through rocks and sand.  It was a beautiful hike filled with great scenery and glimpses into our country’s past.  It was not an easy hike, but it was worth it. Munchkin is on the mend. This was the first day where she was actually acting more like herself. She was really excited to be out exploring and hiking. Our adventures continue at Devil’s Garden.
