What’s on My Nightstand? May Edition

May Nightstand Books

Lest you think that my nightstand is normally this clean, I will confess that needing to take this picture motivated me to clean off my nightstand.  It really needed it.  I have a bad habit of allowing many things to clutter the top of my nightstand even though I have nice drawers to use below.

All of the books on my nightstand stack for this month are review books.  As you can see, there are a variety of different types of books this time.  I tend to read lot of non-fiction, so I’m trying to get back into some recreational reading that includes fiction.  I plan on doing lots of reading this weekend while we’re out camping.  I just love the quiet of the desert for accomplishing lots of reading.

  1. My nightstand doesn’t normally stay clean either. I think I need a bigger one to accommodate all my books. 😉 I’m like you—I tend to read mostly non-fiction, so periodically I have to remind myself to read some lighter stuff. Have fun camping!

  2. I hear you on the nightstand clutter. I was thinking that my own nightstand looks uncharacteristically clean this month. Then I realized that it was because I was trying to find a specific paper in my “to be filed” stack yesterday and had failed to return the stack to the nightstand. In other words, my usual nightstand mess is currently sitting on my bedroom floor. Gah!

  4. I have too much on my nightstand to place books there, I just use the stairs. USA on the Road looks interesting.

  6. Do you review for fun, for free books or for cash? I like reviewing books just as a hobby and am wondering if as we get further into hoemeschooling (and into needing to supplement our library) I might extend the hobby to something more… Just curious!

    • I am not paid for the book reviews. Book reviews are almost always fun as I really enjoy reading. 🙂
