Dr. Lucy’s Gluten Free Cookies Review

Posted in Gluten Free, and Reviews

Lucy's Chocolate Chip CookiesDr. Lucy’s cookies are gluten free, peanut and tree nut free, milk free, and egg free.  Even though they are free of many allergens, they are not free from delicious flavor.  The cookies are made in a dedicated facility for your peace of mind – no cross contamination issues to worry about.

We were given the opportunity to try the four varieties of Dr. Lucy’s cookies: chocolate chip, cinnamon thin, sugar, and oatmeal.

Munchkin’s favorite cookies are the chocolate chip cookies.  They are crisp, delicious cookies that are not too sweet.  Her second favorite cookies are the oatmeal cookies.  While she prefers a chewy oatmeal cookie, she liked the flavor of these crisp cookies.  My favorite cookies are the cinnamon thins.  They tasted like a crisp snickerdoodle with a good mix of cinnamon and sugar.  D doesn’t really have a favorite as he likes them all.  He likes that the crunchy sugar cookies are not overly sweet.

The only negative thing that I have to say about these cookies is that it is very easy to eat too many at one time.  The package seemed to be gone before we knew it.  **grin**

These tasty gluten free cookies are now available at Starbucks locations, online, and at other locations near you.

I am pleased to be able to offer one of my readers a variety pack case of Dr. Lucy’s cookies!

Know your problem foods. Wheat is not the only grain containing gluten. Beware of others such as barley, rye and triticale. Know also that wheat goes by different names: bran, bulgur, couscous, durum, farina, farro, graham, matzoh, seitan, semolina. And, wheat has close relatives associated with the same health problems: einkorn, emmer, kamut, spelt. Be sure you know about every grain you eat. This list should help, but may be incomplete

What did I learn about Dr. Lucy or the cookies? Dr. Lucy wanted something to help her child feel normal in a world full of gluten and allergies. What she has done has helped many of us feel normal in a world that is now foreign to us and dangerous to our health and well being. Thank you Dr. Lucy-you have helped me to feel less like an outsider and more like I belong!
I follow Dr. Lucy on Facebook and Twitter. I’m also a follower of yours on Facebook and Twitter.

I found that gluten, milk, eggs, peanuts and almonds are not allowed in the bakery, but even more extreme, peanuts and almonds are not even allowed in the building.

They only buy raw materials from carefully selected producers, thus reducing or eliminating the chance for allergen contact before they use the ingredients.

Great cookies that are free from all the allergic reactions in which people would not be able to eat the product, but these cookies people that have allergies can eat and it is not sweet at all. Great work Dr. Lucy.
