Spreading CHRISTmas Cheer

Posted in Holidays, and Homemaking

During October, we were part of a neighborhood activity called Boo!  Someone ananomously placed 2 gifts on 2 doorsteps with some instructions and a paper ghost.  The instructions encouraged the recipients of the gifts to do the same for 2 other people.  Munchkin really enjoyed receiving her surprise and then spreading the giving spirit.  She decided that she wanted to start one for Christmas, so she gave me the task of coming up with something.

We decided the idea would be to spread some CHRISTmas Cheer and keep the Grinch away.  We made a little ELF sign and redid a Halloween version poem and instructions to fit our needs.

Munchkin had fun picking out just the right little gifts to put in some red felt reindeer bags that I had on hand.  We also made some simple ornaments (will post later on this) to put in each bag.  When she was done filling the bags, she quietly crept to the recipients houses, rang the doorbell, and hid…

We are now starting to see a few more ELF signs here and there.  Munchkin is excited to see how far the spirit spreads.

Oh, what fun you have had, and spreading the Christmas cheer sounds like so much fun.

Have a great week – I hope that you're starting to feel very much better.

    Blessings,
