Our Thanksgiving

First, I want to say that we had a delicious Thanksgiving. Unfortunately for me, I woke up on Tuesday feeling a bit under the weather.  By Tuesday evening, I was feeling less than stellar, but I thought maybe it would pass with a good night’s rest.  Wednesday morning proved me wrong.  Despite feeling under the weather, I was able to get most of the cooking done prior to Thursday. The Gift of Reading

“Just a few more minutes, please!” “Can I finish the page?” “Can I finish the chapter?” “Can you read just a little more?” These are common phrases heard around our house. From the time that Munchkin was in my womb, D and I read to her. She’s grown up in a house of readers. She was eager to learn to read on her own so she could enjoy books even when I couldn’t keep reading.
