I try to prepare a weeks worth of workboxes over the weekend, so it doesn’t take me as much time in the evening to fill Munchkin’s workboxes. This is what we have planned for this week.
Workbox 1 – Bible (Grapevine Studies, Memory Verses)
Workbox 2 – Math Activities (File Folder Games, Math Games)
Workbox 3 – Math (Teaching Textbooks, Custom worksheets for lessons)
Workbox 4 – Science (Apologia Biology, Custom worksheets for lessons)
Workbox 5 – Magazines (God’s World News Top Story, Gutenberg Study)
Workbox 6 – State Study (State books, State Maze, State Trivia, State Workbook)
Workbox 7 – President Study (President Books, President Workbook, President Worksheets)
Workbox 8 – Language Arts (Roots & Fruits, Write with the Best)
Workbox 9 – Fine Arts, Music (Bright Ideas Press:Composer Study, Handel)
Workbox 10 – Lapbook/Unit Study (Underground Railroad/Slavery Lapbook, Sarah’s Wish)
Workbox 11 – Computer (Spanish, Typing, Quarter Mile Math – rotation)
Workbox 12 – Final Activity (Dollar Store games, Lowes building activity, Nature Friend – You Can Draw)
After Munchkin completes her workboxes, she practices her guitar. She decided that she didn’t want that to be in her workboxes. I have allowed Munchkin to decide the order of her workboxes, and this is what she has found works best for her.
I really liked your blog post. Those are some great ideas for the workboxes.
Thanks Honey, I know it always helps me to see a visual of what others are doing.
I just came to this link from your reply to the workbox post on THL. I am looking through each box you have planned saying to myself, we're using that, we have that too, etc. Then it dawns on me, duh, you're on the crew too. LOL
Bookmarking your blog for further perusal 🙂
🙂 I’ve done that more than once, Hillary. lol!
thanks for the specific info about what is in your boxes…how are you liking it? know the students love it, what about mom.
This mom likes it because it makes planning easy.
