Life has started to get busy now that the new year has begun. We found out in December that we wouldn’t be staying here like we originally thought. It looked like we were headed to California. Hmmm…. Since I was still recovering from surgery, my mind started to make to do lists like crazy. I’m finally off of restriction although I still need to be cautious not to over do things. Is that possible with an upcoming move?
Thankfully, we do have a few months before the cross country trek. One problem is that we never fully moved into this house as D left shortly after we arrived here. We still have lots of boxes in the attic from the move here. Somehow, I have to figure out how to get all those boxes gone through while getting the house picture perfect. Yep, the house is going to have to be amazing to sell in this poor housing market.
Another problem is that we don’t have orders yet. We don’t know for sure were we’ll be heading. We don’t want to put the house on the market until we actually have orders in hand. We’re praying that the orders come quickly so we can have a bit of time to try to sell the house prior to moving. If we are unable to sell the house prior to moving, we’ll be living in our travel trailer for a while. We will not be taking on a house payment/rent with our current mortgage.
Of course, during all of this craziness, life goes on with school, work, church activities, and sports. D is continuing to make improvements on his truck in preparation for the move across country. There have been lots of other crazy things going on that have added a bit of stress to our not so calm life.
Through all of this, we are continuing to make sure that we take time to have fun. We are trusting God to provide for all of our needs. We are thankful that we’re together as a family. We are grateful that we have a home and a steady job. I am extremely glad that we had a wonderful, calm, relaxing Christmas break prior to all of this.
